With the escalating blinds in play at the end of a Big Stax Day 1, the best time to peak is the end of the day. While there are still a few levels left to play before the plastic comes out, a few players are making their way up the leaderboard at the right time.

| Ron Sims was one of the chip leaders heading into dinner but his stack has since dwindled at the hands of Sardor Gaziev who is now playing 345,000. Gaziev is coming off of a summer where he notched a few cashes in Las Vegas and is now in the hunt for his second Big Stax final table after finishing 6th in the Big Stax VIII 500. |

| Chris Caruso started his post-dinner break run on a high note after eliminating a player flush-over-flush to move over 250,000. Despite having nearly $85,000 in live tournament earnings, Caruso has never cashed in a Big Stax event and is looking to reverse that trend. |
